Plan your trip

Airport options

  • Santa Fe: Only American and United fly here. It’s about 15 minutes by car to downtown.

  • Albuquerque: More airline options. Airport is ~1 hour south of Santa Fe. Uber/Lyft is available for around $70 each way (non-surge pricing). Some hotels may offer shuttle service, so it’s worth inquiring.

Car rental: Santa Fe does not have good public transportation and Uber/Lyft can be expensive depending on where you’re staying, so we recommend renting a car, especially if you’d like to extend your trip to explore the area.

Things to do: Check out Katarina’s recommendations for art, food, hikes, and more.

IMPORTANT: Santa Fe is over 7,000’ high with a lot of sunshine, so you might experience shortness of breath, fatigue, headaches, and/or nausea the first day or so. Please stay hydrated, rest accordingly, and don’t forget the sunscreen!
